I hadn't thought back to high school much in forty years. This site is really great, as one does not have to pay to put out a comment! My brother, Ron, found a similar site from when he attended Tucson High. He graduated from Palo Verde in '65. We noticed "the" John Denver was in his class at THS. Now, perhaps I can see what kind of interesting people our class created.

Oh, I never purchased my senior photo, as I didn't like it. Kind of a shock to see it here, after all these years. I can now say that just being young has a lot going for it!

I recall going to my first class of second session Biology, the day President Kennedy was assasinated. The event actually is embedded in my memory, just as is often stated.

I also remember that in this class, later in that same year, we were to dissect a rat. When we opened the preserved jars, we got extremely ill! The smell of the putrified rodents also sticks with me.

Once in Field Hocky, two girls got into a cat fight over their mutual boyfriend, and I got caught up in the middle, and still have a scar on my right knee! And weren't those P.E. suits attractive?

I often reflect on how the Viet Nam "Police Action" impacted our class. I wonder how many of our fellow students never made it back, were disabled, are now homeless, or were POWS and MIAS. Has anyone made any kind of study on this? I, for one, would like to personally salute any veterans for their participation in serving their country. This extends as well to the children and grandchildren of classmates now serving.
